Q: How much is an intro flight and what is included?
A: Intro flights are the perfect way to get started flying, you can purchase them for yourself or give them as a gift. The cost is $150 and includes a 45 min flight with you in the pilot seat (with an instructor of course), a CBA trucker hat, and a logbook to log your first flight. There is no age limit as long as the recipient is old enough to ride in a car without a car seat. Call 615-669-5117 or email email@example.com to book
Q: What aircraft do you operate and how much do they rent for?
A: We currently have 2 Cessna 172M models and 2 Cessna 150 M models. The 172’s rent for $130/hr (wet) and the 150’s rent for $99/hr (wet).
Q: How much is is flight instruction?
A: Our instructor rates are $55/hr for flight or ground instruction and we have some of the best instructors around.
Q: What is the cost to get my Private Pilots license?
A: This is a difficult question to answer because there are so many variables such as aircraft type, and lesson frequency. AOPA estimates the national average around $9,900, however our average cost is much less, typically around $7,000 to $8,000 including aircraft rental, instruction, and testing and examination fees. We also have a CBA All Star program available to save you as much a 10% by depositing money into a flight account. To learn more about the total cost of flight training for your specific situation or to find out more about our flight account discounts we recommend a face to face meeting with an instructor.
Q: I already have my Private, what is the checkout process like for rentals?
A: All we require is a flight with an instructor to demonstrate proficiency, there is no set time requirement. We will also need a copy of your pilots license, medical, drivers license, and last BFR (if required).
Q: What is the cost of your flight simulator?
A: The flight sim is $10/hr, it is currently uncertified so although you cannot log flight time in the sim it is an incredible teaching tool. It does require a brief checkout from an instructor to demonstrate the use and operation.
Q: Where are you located and what are your hours?
A: We are located in Lebanon, TN (M54) on the second floor of the new terminal building right behind Home Depot. Our address is 200 Aviation Way, Suite #212, Lebanon, TN 37090. The terminal building is open year round and the front desk is staffed from 7am-5pm, however if you stop by on a nice day and our office door is locked we may all be out flying the best way to reach us is via phone or email. Call ahead and we’ll make sure someone is there to assist you.
Q: How long does it take to get your license?
A: The minimum hourly requirement is 40hrs of flight experience. However, the national average is between 60-70hrs, so no rush. Everyone learns at their own pace, and depending on how often you are able to train, will play a large factor as to how soon you will be to get your license.
Q: What are the age requirements?
A: If you can reach the pedals, you can learn to fly. However, you must be at least 16yrs old to fly solo, and 17yrs old to obtain your Private Pilot certificate. If you’ve ever dreamed of it, or thought it would be fun to try, you’re never too old to learn!
Q: Is it hard to learn?
A: Of course everyone learns differently, but no, it’s not hard to learn. People of all ages, shapes, and sizes have learned to fly. The most important part is dedication to learning.
Q: Is flying safe?
A: Yes. A well-built and well-maintained aircraft flown by a competent and prudent pilot is as safe, or safer, than many other forms of transportation.
